Many Presbyterian organisations are not related

There are many churches and other organisations that have “Presbyterian” in their name in New Zealand, but they are not all related.

For example, some schools are part of Presbyterian Church Aotearoa New Zealand (PCANZ), but others are not. Similarly, some Presbyterian churches are not part of PCANZ.

Most Presbyterian churches are part of the PCANZ, however there are a small number of independent churches with “Presbyterian” in their name in New Zealand that are not and have never been churches of the PCANZ.

For example, Grace Presbyterian Churchopen_in_new and Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland in New Zealandopen_in_new are each separate from PCANZ.

Presbyterian Support New Zealand is a network of the seven Presbyterian Support organisations and is separate from the Presbyterian Church Aotearoa New Zealand.

Each of the 7 Presbyterian Support organisations are separate organisations and legal entities with their own governance structures and policies on redress.
