How do I make a complaint about the Methodist Church’s response to my request?

You can complain to the Methodist Church if you are unhappy with their response to your records request 

You can make your complaint to the General Secretary of the Methodist Church of New Zealand, by: 

Learn about your rights to access your records. Requesting records can bring up a range of emotions. Learn where you can find support if you want to make a complaint, or to support you at any other time on your journey.

If you are unhappy with The Methodist Church’s response to your complaint, you can contact the Privacy Commissioner 

The Privacy Commissioner handles complaints about your rights to access and correct your personal information.  

 

For example, you can make a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner if you are unhappy with the Methodist Church’s response to a complaint you have made about them redacting too much information from your records.
