Most health camps had a school attached to them, so that children staying at the camp could continue their education.
Health camp schools were managed by Ministry of Education until 2011. The Ministry of Education will hold most school records from before 2011.
After 2012 Stand Tū Māia started managing the health camp schools and will hold all health camp school records from 2012.

There are some health camp records held at Archives NZ on behalf of the Ministry of Health, who inherited responsibility for these records from the Children’s Health Camp Committees and District Committees.
To request records about you at the health camp, contact Archives NZ. If the records are restricted (for example, because they contain personal information), contact the Ministry of Healthopen_in_new for permission to access the records.
